Jenna's Two!

My baby is 2 years old, I can't believe it! Jenna actually turned 2 on the 4th but we wanted to wait for Chuck to be home before we celebrated. We did cupcakes instead of a cake this year and Jenna loved them.
Her favorite part was the cool whip frosting.

Her Grammie crocheted her an adorable bunny hat. Which she wore for the rest of the night.

She had lots of fun opening her presents.

I love these pictures because you can really tell she loved her duck.

The boys had fun playing with her toys too!

She loved all her gifts.

Her favorite was the baby doll and stroller set her Papa and Nana gave her. She wouldn't put that baby down for anything.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Say Hello to My Little Friend

Austin is HERE! Ok, so he's actually been here since the 14th but so what right?

He was born after a 1 hour and 40 minute labor. I don't care what anybody says, just because it was fast doesn't mean it wasn't extremely painful. Knowing you don't have the option of an epidural is enough to make me cry. Anyway, back to my little prince charming. He was 8 lbs 4 oz 22 inches long. We are both doing really well.

He is such a good baby, I'm worried about when he gets older. He is a snuggler and has the cutest cry. Which I think the Lord does on purpose because He knows that is all that is keeping this child alive through those sleepless nights.

The kids love Austin and are really excited he is finally here. When he first came home, they kept pushing on my belly to make sure nothing was still in there. We are having a ball with Austin and feel so blessed to have him in our home.

He's Back!

For those of you who didn't know Chuck has been gone for the past 3 months for work. It's been a little trying at times with everything going on but we made it and are so happy to have him home. The kids follow him around everywhere! It's really cute! Here they are getting a long awaited horse ride. For some reason mommy couldn't do this with them.

Any Day Now!

I have ten days left, that's all. Ok, really I probably have more than that because my babies just don't seem to want to come into the world. Hopefully only 10 days.

She's a Super Freak!

First of all, tell me you can't get that song out of your head now, cause I know I'm singin' it! Secondly, Jenna has a favorite hat that she likes to wear. Yup, it's her brothers' underroos'. She is constantly going into their room to pick out a new pair. Got to love it!

Cupcakes

Our baking project this week was color burst cupcakes that I found on a website and had to make. I've been planning on making them for awhile but you know how that goes. Well, we made them today and boy am I glad we did. They are my new favorite treat. Not only are they delicious, but they are bright and cheery too! This is what we started with.
Then we put food coloring in to make the colors we wanted. I used Wilton frosting coloring because the colors come out much brighter than regular food coloring.
Then you just put some of whatever colors you want in your cupcake wrapper thingies and throw them in the oven.
Aren't they BEAUTIFUL!
Of course you need expert food testers to make sure that every thing tasters perfect. Fortunately for me I have 3 living with me.

Then last but not least, you need to make sure that after all is said and done the cupcakes taste yummy after baking. The hard part is finding someone willing to eat your creation. Again I live with 3 willing testers.

Hello beautiful, come to me.

Trick or Treat!

My sister Erin came up with her family to help me wrangle the chillin's while we went trick or treating, bless her heart. The kids had so much fun! After ringing the door bell 5 times each, then knocking on the door a million times, and trying to open peoples doors, they said "Happy Halloween!" to everyone. I couldn't get them to say trick or treat for the life of me. It was really cute listening to Jenna tell everyone "Happy Halloween!"

Here is firefighter Dayton,

His partner in crime, firefighter Wyatt,

And the bravest out of all the kids, Jenna, I mean Dorothy.

This is all the kids together. Jenna, Dayton, Wyatt, Madison, a Pirate Princess, and Emma. She's a witch! Burn her!

Making our rounds around the neighborhood.

Jenna showing me her candy.

I went home a little early with Jenna and Emma to put them to bed while the others hit up some more houses. I was setting up the pack and play for Emma and when I came out I found scavengers going through their candy.

I can't wait for next year!

New Mother Update

Wyatt told me today that he wanted a new mother again. This time he said, "I want a colored mother." "Oh really." I thought. "You want a colored mother Wyatt?" His reply, "Yes, I want a blue one."

The Holy Ghost

I don't know what the Holy Ghost looks like at your house but here in the Steffens home he looks like this.

For some reason I always pictured him looking different.
