Cupcakes

Our baking project this week was color burst cupcakes that I found on a website and had to make. I've been planning on making them for awhile but you know how that goes. Well, we made them today and boy am I glad we did. They are my new favorite treat. Not only are they delicious, but they are bright and cheery too! This is what we started with.
Then we put food coloring in to make the colors we wanted. I used Wilton frosting coloring because the colors come out much brighter than regular food coloring.
Then you just put some of whatever colors you want in your cupcake wrapper thingies and throw them in the oven.
Aren't they BEAUTIFUL!
Of course you need expert food testers to make sure that every thing tasters perfect. Fortunately for me I have 3 living with me.

Then last but not least, you need to make sure that after all is said and done the cupcakes taste yummy after baking. The hard part is finding someone willing to eat your creation. Again I live with 3 willing testers.

Hello beautiful, come to me.

They look like fun - where do you find all your creative cooking ideas? I'll have to try them out with my kids as they always want an excuse to use my wilton colors.

Hi Brya! Your kids are getting so BIG! Oh my goodness! And you just have a few days left until your new arrival! I am thinking about you. I hope everything will go well with the birth and your new little one.
