Chopping Down the Christmas Tree

One of our Christmas family traditions is going out, finding that perfect tree, and chopping it down. It's really quite fun, and it gets us out of the house.

Off we go to find our tree. This picture kind of reminds me of a mama quail and her babies following her.

Here are the little woodsmen and woods lady.

Here she is, our beautiful tree. She's the one in the middle.

Chuck chopped her down and we took her home to spruce her up. Get it "spruce" her up? A little tree humor, anyway. We dressed her up real nice.

Austin and I handed out ornaments to the other kids.

Here she is, all dressed up for Christmas. Well this is actually a shot of her after Christmas. All the ornaments have migrated to the upper half of the tree and the lights have started to sag, but the old girl still has it. She's purdy ain't she?
