Deer Hunting 2012

This is Area 10 North East of Elko, Nevada. Loren, Nathan and myself hunted this range for a week. The hunt was at 9000 feet in the Humboldt Toiyabe Wilderness. As you can see some rough country!

Here is Nathan glassing a herd of Deer!

On top of the ridge at 9000 feet!

Huge Quaking Aspen Stand!  Saw a lot of deer there!

Loren glassing for that huge four point Buck!

On top of the mountain, a 1+30 min hike every morning to get to the deer!  Quite a view!

All the hard work paid off!  A three hour stalk yielded this nice three point with a 26 inch spread!  It took Loren and me 5 hours to hall it out of the wilderness to the quads.  Loren walked me on to this nice buck!

Nathan with his nice four point buck!

Packing this buck out!  I had two quarters and the head and Loren had the other two quarters.  Whew!

The other pack mule (Loren).  I couldn't have done it with out him!
