COW ELK HUNT JARBIDGE 2015
Well, the cow elk hunt of 2015 was a big disappointment to say the least. After a long deployment overseas, I was enthusiastically looking forward to getting out into the Jarbidge Wilderness Range to bring a Cow Elk home. A few big snow storms that hit the area in late November that drove the Elk out of the range. When we arrived there was a foot of snow where we were camped in the lower parts of the range. The Elk were gone to winter up in Idaho. Here are a few pics from camp.
This is Salomon Fall Creek Reservoir on our way to Jarbidge.
This is camp, the high was 10 degrees and the lows were -18 degrees.
