Cow Elk Hunt Jarbidge 2017

This years Cow Elk hunt in the Jarbidge Wilderness was a great experience.  Loren and Brigham Powelson and Ben Lyman and his boys all drew Cow Elk tags.  There was five tags that were drawn and we ended up filling three out of the five tags,  which is pretty good seeing how we packed them all out of the rugged Jarbidge Wilderness!  Here is a look at the Wilderness.

Oh, did I mention that it snowed on us while we were there.

Here is spike camp after the snow.

Here is Loren and Brigs ready to haul their elk out.

Here is Ben Lyman and his boys!

Here is the fruit of our labors, Loren's and my Cow Elk.  Loren pulled down a big one!

Now its time to bring them off the mountain!

Here they are dressed at Spike camp.

Now back to the truck, this is some of the scenery we got to enjoy hauling the elk to base camp.

Here are the packs we hauled out multiple times, needless to say we were loaded down!

Base camp and back to civilization!
